It’s World Doula Week!

March 22 – 28 is World Doula Week. What does that mean?

According to it’s organizers at WorldDoulaWeek.com, the purpose of World Doula Week (“WDW”) is to empower doulas all over the world to improve the physiological, social, emotional, and psychological health of women, newborns and families in birth and in the postpartum period.

So if you’re glad you had a doula, tell it to the world! Only about 3% of current births in the US are assisted by a doula(1). Don’t you agree there should be more?
